Matcha Powder

Matcha is a Japanese powdered green tea. It can be used as an ingredient or made as a tea. With matcha, whole tealeaves are consumed, not just the steep off tealeaves, as with other teas. Matcha is known for its health & nutritional benefits being rich in antioxidants.

High-grade matcha is made in limited amounts in Japan, harvested only once a year in the Spring.

Japanese Kitchen sells three brands of Matcha powder.
Maeden Premium Matcha in 28g tin, Yamakaen Matcha in 100g tin, and Itoen Green Tea powder with added Vitamin C in resealable packet.

The 28g tin of Matcha is from the famous Matcha making region of Japan known as Uji near Kyoto. This is a a high quality green tea powder.

The 100g tin is a good all round Matcha suitable for drinking & cooking and offers the best value per gram.

The Itoen Matcha powder has added vitamin c and can be enjoyed hot or cold.
